Adios Iowa City, West Des Moines Here We Come!

We just got our walking papers (with a very long list of instructions!), so we are out of here! Can't wait to get back home to see the girls smiling faces, and to provide a little relief for Bonita and Red (a.k.a. Grams and "Uncle Buck"). One quick stop at the drug store for supplies and we will be on the road. Thanks to everyone for the continued love and support, it has helped keep spirits high throughout this ordeal. Let's continue to pray for a speedy recovery and that the healing process goes well.

Kathleen, great work on the recovery! I bet it is tough taking all the walks, but from Mark's note it sounds like you'll be cruising the 'hood on your own in no time!
please let us know if you need anything (and I do mean ANYTHING!), everyone just wants to help speed your recovery.

  4. Kathleen and Mark,
I'm so glad that the hardest part is over and that you're coming home. I know seeing those girls of yours will do a lot to spread that smile all the way across your face! How smart of you to have some platic surgery done at the same time... that must be what explains the total lack of worry lines and the stylish mauve makeup under your right eye! (Just kidding!) Take care and travel safe.

  8. How awesome! And go figure, you finally got me to blog...Rob and I are sending our prayers and well wishes. Wish we were still "neighbors" so we could help out - but then, keep in mind there are flights that way all the time and I'm available. Hugs and wishes for a continued recovery. Miss you and know those girls will get you laughing soon.

  9. Hey, Kathleen - the thing I admire about you grab the best of everything and move forwards. I love the picture of you - it symbolizes the strength and the positive attitude you have about what is going on in your life. I have never seen anyone quite as beautiful as you in that picture!! - Lynnette
